Les urbanistes veulent créer de bonnes villes – mais qu’est-ce qu’une bonne ville? Jusqu’à présent, les nombreux mots d’ordre de l’urbanisme ont rarement été définis avec précision et mis en relation avec les cadres conceptuels dont ils découlent. Le présent séminaire a pour objectif d’ouvrir la discussion. Il interrogera les racines des idées de l’urbanisme, et les conséquences des positionnements politiques, religieux, scientifiques des urbanistes sur leurs projets. La discussion se déroulera librement en français et en anglais (traduction sur place). Les participants sont invités à participer à la discussion.
Urban planners want to create good cities – but what is a good city? Until now, the many slogans of urban planning have rarely been precisely defined and linked to the conceptual frameworks from which they derive. This seminar aims to open up the discussion on this topic. It will examine the roots of urban planning ideas and the consequences of urban planners’ political, religious and scientific positions on their urban projects. The discussion will be held in French and English (with translation provided on site). Participants are invited to join the discussion.
